Geopolitical and Political Risk Analysis
Dr. John C. Hulsman is the President and Co-Founder of John C. Hulsman Enterprises, a prominent global political risk consulting firm, and a Life Member of the US Council on Foreign Relations. His most recent work, To Dare More Boldly; The Audacious Story of Political Risk, was published by Princeton University Press in April 2018.
For three years, Dr. Hulsman was the Senior Columnist for City AM, the newspaper of the city of London. Prior to this, John was a Senior Research Fellow at The Hague Centre of Strategic Studies, and served as the first Alfred von Oppenheim Scholar in Residence at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) in Berlin. Earlier, he was Senior Research Fellow at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, responsible for geopolitics, the study of terrorism and American foreign policy and a Fellow in US Foreign Policy at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), two of the largest and most important think tanks helping to craft America’s foreign policy.
John holds a PhD in International Relations from St. Andrews University in Scotland and an M.A. (Hons) Degree in History with International Relations from St. Andrews.
