In this paper, we discuss:

  • Hungary’s decisive political shift, ending Orbán’s rule and ushering in Magyar’s reform mandate;
  • A reorientation toward the EU and NATO, with improved relations and stronger support for Ukraine;
  • Key economic challenges, including fiscal adjustment and unlocking EU funds;
  • Plans for institutional reform, focusing on rule of law, anti-corruption, and governance overhaul;
  • The broader transition risks, as implementation of reforms will require sustained political and economic effort.
