In this paper, we discuss:

  • Europe’s competitiveness gap with the US and China, driven by slower growth, lower productivity, and Single Market fragmentation;
  • Plans to simplify EU regulation and complete the Single Market under the principle of “one market for one Europe;”
  • Industrial policy measures, including revised merger rules, strategic preference for EU firms, and lower energy costs;
  • The proposed “28th regime,” creating a single corporate framework for companies operating across the EU;
  • A Savings and Investments Union to channel savings into productive investment and improve financing access.
